Rupert Harris Conservation Ltd was established in 1982 and was appointed Metalwork Conservation Advisor to the National Trust in the same year. Since then, the company has built a reputation as the leading conservators of metalwork and sculpture in the UK.
The studio employs a highly skilled team of conservators with extensive experience in the conservation of works of art in bronze, lead, zinc, electrotype, wood, plaster, marble, terracotta, wax and porcelain. The company also conserves historic lighting; gold and silver; fine ironwork; arms and armour; and ecclesiastical and architectural metalwork. Clients include the Royal Household, the Royal Collection, Historic Royal Palaces, the National Trust, English Heritage and the City of London, as well as major museums, art galleries, architects and private collectors. Rupert Harris is a PACR-Accredited Conservator-Restorer, a member of ICON and an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
