James Cocker & Sons

Formed in 1841 by the great, great grandfather of the present senior partner, Alec J. Cocker, James Cocker and Sons started out as a nursery business mainly for forest trees and herbaceous plants. The business prospered as it was passed on through the generations and in the 1960s the decision was made to specialise in growing and breeding new varieties of roses, many of which went on to become international award winners. Today, the business still supplies quality roses and has diversified with a landscaping and garden maintenance division in addition to a property development branch.
