Computer Aid International is a UK-based ICT for Development charity, empowering the developing world through technology education, and providing ethical and sustainable solutions to the growing problem of e-waste. To date, we have distributed more than 260,000 computers in over 100 countries.
We collect unwanted PCs from companies all across the UK and refurbish them to high-quality standards. We operate to the highest security standards to ensure full data protection. All PCs donated are data-wiped free of charge using Blancco, the Ministry of Defence approved baseline for permanently removing all data and programmes. Full asset tracking is provided and certificates of destruction issued. This is done within a month of receiving donations.
