For more than 75 years the name of C John has been synonymous with the best-woven works of art. C John opened their first showroom in Henley-on-Thames in 1936. Two years later they obtained larger premises in Oxford. In 1947 the Mayfair showrooms were established in elegant premises on South Audley Street and 2015 saw the gallery move to a more modern location. In 2020, they exchanged the physical gallery for an online presence – www.cjohn.com and viewings are by private appointment. Among the wide-ranging quality stock, are fine Aubussons, Kelim, Turkoman and Persian carpets and rugs.
