To commemorate the Plowden Medal’s 25th Anniversary, a conversation and Private Reception sponsored by Temple Bookbinders was held on Wednesday 5 June at The King’s
Gallery, Buckingham Palace.
Tim Knox, Director of the Royal Collection chaired a panel-led conversation around the opportunities and challenges facing conservation in the next 25 years.
The panel included:

Thank you to the panel and to the audience for participating in what was a very inspiring and thought-provoking conversation. There were 80 guests in attendance, including 21 of the past Plowden Medal Winners. The past winners were presented with a commemorative pin badge - designed by QEST scholar Alexander Pengelly and produced by Sam McMahon, QEST Apprentice for Royal Warrant holders Mappin & Webb.
After the conversation, another 70 Royal Warrant holders joined us for a Reception, which included a private viewing of the current exhibition Royal Portraits: A Century of Photography. We also heard from Royal Photographer, Hugo Burnand and Chairman of the Plowden Medal, Nick Farrow.
Thank you to the Royal Collection Trust, Temple Bookbinders and Champagne Louis Roederer.
