Prestat Ltd

Food & Drink

Prestat was established in 1902. Its founders invented the original recipe for its chocolate truffles in 1896. The company was appointed Purveyor of Chocolates to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1975 and granted a further Royal Warrant by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, in 1999.
In 2019, Prestat was acquired by Gruppo Illy, the Super Premium Food and Beverage Business based in Trieste. Prestat couvertures are single-origin Cote d'Ivoire and the cacao is traceable to plantation. Prestat employs 80 people in their London kitchens. Prestat's facility makes own-label products for many of the UK's leading retailers. Their bakery makes in excess of 3m mince pies.
Prestat remains one of the few British artisan chocolatiers to make all its chocolates – giving it complete control of recipes and sourcing of raw ingredients.

Prestat "Bean to Bar' or "Tree to Truffle" retains the natural aromatics of cacao with low impact processing.
