D Johnston & Co (Laphroaig) Ltd operates Laphroaig Distillery on the Isle of Islay,distilling and maturing single malt whisky. The award winning range of products includes the iconic 10 year old and an annual limited-edition 'Cairdeas' release on offer to members of our Friends of Laphroaig program.
The company's Royal Warrant of Appointment to The former Prince of Wales was first granted in 1994. Laphroaig is the number-one-selling Islay single malt Scotch whisky. The methods of production of what is perhaps Scotland's most distinctive whisky remain unchanged. The distillery has been producing Laphroaig for over 200 years and is one of only a few that still use traditional malting floors, and dries and infuses its own malt with smoke from peat-fired kilns.
