Bendicks was founded in 1930 and is a famous manufacturer of premium after-dinner mint chocolates. Our unique and most well-known product, the Bittermint, was created in 1931, and we still use the same recipe to this day. Bendicks mint chocolates are the essential, perfect finishing touch to any meal or entertainment occasion.
Bendicks was founded when Mr Oscar BENson and Colonel Bertie DICKSon started a confectionery business in Kensington, London. They started the quest for chocolate perfection which remains with the company today. In 1931 Mr Benson's sister-in-law Lucia Benson created the remarkable Bittermint, a uniquely refreshing mint oil infused in a firm fondant, enrobed in intense, dark 95%-cocoa chocolate. Bendicks is proud to have held a Royal Warrant granted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for more than 55 years.
